Cluster of Excellence Transforming Human Rights

Participating Persons: Georg Glasze, Sandra Jasper, Blake Walker

The Cluster of Excellence Transforming Human Rights, funded under the German Excellence Strategy, addresses the potential and the limits of human rights against the backdrop of the fundamental transformations shaping our times. Its research focuses on five interconnected megatrends: autocratization, the fragmentation of economic globalization, international migration, planetary environmental crises, and digitalization. Across these fields, the Cluster brings together scholars from law, political science, history, philosophy, and the social sciences to rethink the normative foundations and institutional futures of human rights under conditions of profound global change.
